I am at Steve's bedside. He is playing with a remote control (from home) that should operate the TV's here at the hospital. He is much more alert. The trach is totally gone. He did get up once this afternoon and he quickly found our how out of condition he really is. He made it to his wheelchair but it really took a combined effort to get him out of the wheelchair and back in bed. Don't be surprised if he takes over this blog soon.
