Friday - What a great day!

When I came in this morning @ 9am it took me a couple of minutes to realize Steve was not connected to the vent, he was just on oxygen. They disconnected the vent at 8:30am. It is now noon and he continues to breath on his own. If I really try to wake him he will squeeze my hand if I ask him. He has had no sedation or pain medicine since last night. The pancreas continues to drain. Maybe this is the turning point
