Thursday, July 30 - As I am writing the speech therapist is here testing Steve so he can start eating food. The feeding tube and urinary catheter are gone. He still has the pancreas drain and is on oxygen. Sure is making progress. The gastro doctor was very happy with the CT. I was out when he came by. Since he has gotten rid of a lot of his attachments, tomorrow the may try to walk a little farther with only rollling oxygen and being followed by his wheelchair.
I have been here most of the day. I did take a little nap on the cot Annie used last night. My breathing is still much better than before surgery.
