All the doctors have agreed that unless Steve spikes a fever or his blood counts go up he will be going back to Rehab tomorrow. We are praying that this will be the route home. I have become the designated Pancreatic Drain Manager!!!!!!! Since he will probably go home with the drain still in, the surgeon wants me to learn to take care of the drain. The surgeon also said that at some time in the future Steve will probably require laproscopic (thru the drain hole) surgery to finish cleaning out the crude. This has kind of set Steve mentally back a little. He was able to walk about 36 feet with a break in the middle. He has lost so much of what he had gained for the short time in Rehab.

Good Luck! I haven't forgotten about you and I'm still praying for Steve's recovery. I'm not all that far away from MMC, give me a call if you ever need anything.
