Didn't realize it has been so long since I updated the blog. Progress is very slow. The nurses, OT and PT are coming to the house. Steve remains very weak and is actually eating less than when in the hospital. Nothing tastes good. He lost 17 lbs over the last 2 1/2 weeks. He even tried cooking his own breakfast and it did not taste any better than the one I cook. I returned to work this week. I do have to come home for lunch and probably at least one more time each day. The pancreatic drain is still in and draining. He will have a CT over the next 2 weeks to evaluate removing the drain.

He just did a slow fall to the floor as he was getting up. Had to call MedStar for assistance to get him up. The question is what would he have done had I not been here, no where near a phone!

If you get a chance give him a call - tomorrow 9/27 is his 62nd birthday. We definitely will not be having a party. Don't know if he would even eat cake or ice cream.
