My insurance on last Friday stated that Steve did not need to be in Rehab after Wednesday, September 2! So after the Team met today the word is we go home tomorrow before 11am. How we are going to function at home remains a question. Biggest problem is Steve getting up, once he has gotten down in the bed or lounge chair. We will have OT & PT coming to the house but only 3 days a week.
We may need to sell tickets to the entertainment once we get home. Maybe Steve will feel like getting on the radio or the computer.

Just as I remember it from working in the pharmacy - Insurance Companies making the decisions instead of medical professionals. Good Luck Steve and Sue, give us a holler if you need anything.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad his going home but it sucks that someone other than the doctors are involved in the decision. Whether it's an insurance company or the government, it sucks.
