Late Night update

Steve had a busy day today. Had the CT scan of chest, abdomen and pelvis. This revealed very significant fluid on his right lung. To the point that the pulmonologist put in a chest tube and immediately drained out over 1700ml of fluid (1 liter). It is continuing to drain. If all goes well the tube will be removed in the morning. He is having trouble keeping an IV operational so they put in a PICC line. It is 8pm and he is starting to be more awake and alert. Learned today the fluid is coming from his pancreas which is below the diaphragm but the fluid finds a way into the chest cavity. Now all we have to figure out is how to stop the pancreas from creating this extra fluid.
